Tip Toe Through the Tulips

Hey everyone! Hope ya’ll had a happy Easter weekend and a very happy Monday. I never really do anything special for Easter, but this weekend my family and I decided to go to the annual Tulip Festival a short drive away in Mount Vernon. This was my first trip to see the tulips, and I remember seeing pictures from when my sister went last year, and I was so jealous! I love flowers so much, and to be in a field of vibrant tulips is what dreams are made of.

I absolutely love maxi skirts for spring and summer, and I was so excited to be able to wear one since it has been the first warm and sunny day this whole year (they’re not lying when they say Seattle weather is always rainy!) I felt like I was in a page ripped out of National Geographic, it was unreal being able to enjoy field after field of tulips. They also had a lot of delicious snacks (I always find the snacks!), I didn’t include it in the pictures, but I was walking through these beautiful flowers holding this arm-sized bag of kettle corn in one hand, and a large apple cider in the other. It was glorious.

Going to the Tulip Festival has been on my bucket list for some time now, and I’m so happy I got to go this year! This is my first spring here in Seattle, and I was getting a little depressed because the rain and gloom didn’t seem to be slowing down at all. But after seeing these tulip fields and the sun shining bright, I’m starting to think that spring is here, and it’s here to stay! I couldn’t have imagined a better way to celebrate Easter and welcome in this gorgeous weather, and I can’t wait to see what else my first Seattle spring has in store for me.
